Consumer Redressal

My father is a senior citizen and had invested Rs.278,929.00 in the form of savings and FD IN TAPI SAHKARI PATPEDHI LTD,CHOPDA PIMPRI, PUNE BRANCH in 2006. The bank was working normally till 2011 when the bank informed that they have run into problems and that they have closed all their branches in Pune except the Kothrud branch and that they will only be able to pay a limited sum and that the balance amount will have to be converted into FD payable with interest after a period of 3 years. Therefore my father invested Rs.176,501.00 in my name on 01.10.2011 @ 7% p.a. and maturity date 01.11.2014. Maturity value Rs.214,596.00. However on 01.11.14 when we visited the branch to redeem the FD it was closed. The people in the locality informed that the bank has shut shop over two months ago and their whereabouts are not known. We have been cheated of our hard earned money. You are therefore requested to help resolve this issue in our favor at the earliest.
