Consumer Redressal

A bill of rs163 against airtel number 984506467 has been generated by the venodr, AIRTEL. The number was assigned to me in August 1st week 2014. An airtel representative came to verify my address and took signature from me. But in 2 days, they deactivated this number quoting that address verification was failed. When I spoke to service executive over phone, they assured person will come for address verification again. When noone turned up, I requested cancellation of connection on 17th aug 2014. Again customer executive called and reassured me that their representative will come for verification and hence I should reconsider decision of cancellation. Still noone turned up and they generated a bill against the connection as rental charges! For a service that I never used! And for a connection that I had to cancel because of their fault to send an executive for verification. If my number has not been approved, why should I pay any rental for the same.
