Consumer Redressal

I stay in Malad West, Mumbai. All the grocery shops in Chincholi Bunder have been selling milk 1-2 rupees higher than the MRP. Since all were charging extra we had no option but to pay. I even complained to Mother Dairy on their helpline number but got no help. Now the shopkeepers have started charging extra even for the beverages. 500ML coke bottle was sold for Rs. 38 when the MRP was Rs. 37. I asked him to give me bottle which is at room temperature as I didnt want to pay extra for the cooling but he said thats also for Rs. 38. On being told he is cheating people, he said lena hai toh lo. This nuisance and rowdiness of these people must stop. Imagine if we pay 1-2 rupees extra on every article sold by them, how much monthly we would end up paying them and obviously no one tracks their income and I doubt if they even pay Taxes. Please take the issue up as the citizens are suddenly specially when inflation is already so high.
