I had a \"Group Mediclaim Tailormade ( floater ) policy with UIIC since 22.07.2009.No:120700/48/10/41/0000368.I had cardiac surgery at Godbole Hospital,Thane in Oct 2010.I preferred a claim ( Control No: UN-3-56475) for Rs 238011.Both UIIC & TPA GENINS INDIA LTD. rejected the claim on \"non disclosure of preexisting diabetes\"in the proposal. As it was mild I did not discloseitin the proposal.Also Dr.Ajay Mahajan who performed surgery mentioned it as NIDD ( non insulin dependent diabetes ) meaning not serious & not the cause for cardiac problem.NIIC also rejected the renewal ( due 22.07.2011) through a letter AS/2011 on 07.07.2011.Idid not send my premium cheque instead preferring to go to the Regulators.UIIC argued that I should have represented!!!.I request that my policy be regularised retrospectively & my claim be settled with interest arrears as I am heavily indebted and am not an earning person.I am going to be 66 on the 27 th of June.
