Hello, I resigned from HCL Comnet System and services on 4th Dec 2012. As soon as I joined my new organization I applied for the PF transfer rquest. As per my previous employer they issues a cheque in July 2013 to my new PF trust in new organization. On 8th NOV 2013 I came to know that my new organization never got the cheque. It has taken almost 7 months back and forth on emails to finally issue a new cheque. However my concern is my previous employer has only calculated the interest uptill July 2013. They are suggesting since they already issued the cheque on July 2013 they would not proivde any interest for the period Aug 2013 to may 2014 even though the actual bank transaction never happened. My logic is, since previous employeer has had the my PF amount in their account for the period from Aug 12 to May 14 they are liable to pay me the interest on the same. Has there ever been such case before. Any legal action I can take in this situation.
