Consumer Redressal

Respected Sir, I am lodging the following complaint with you for getting justice and compensation for the mental and financial loss happened to me. I had booked an Air ticket with Jet Airways for Pune –Bangalore-Kochi Sector for my wife for 4th November 2012, on 23rd July 2012 at 11.25.14 hrs. thru my friend Mr Amit Bhasker Dongre using the JP miles to his credit and the ticket was awarded to my wife under the airline PNR No. OYFFDE. However, on 4th November when we approached the checkin counter of Jet Airways to my utter dismay I was told that this ticket is canceled and I should purchase a fresh ticket Incase I have to travel by that flight I had no other alternative but to purchase a fresh ticket from jet airways counter costing me Rs.19608. It was a shock and mental torture to me given by the airline since, on enquiry either it was never cancelled by Mr Dongre or I was never informed by the airlines about the cancellation of this ticket, thought I had given my cell no and email id in the ticket., which would have been enabled me to go for a lower fare airticket well in advance. On contacting the airlines on phone they are not giving proper reply and hence I am approaching the consumer redressal forum for getting justice and compensation to a common man like me. Please therefore consider my case for scrutinizing the same and ask the airlines to pay the compensation to me at the earliest alongwith the prevailing rate of interest for the amount Rs. 19608/- I spent for purchasing the fresh ticket under PNR No. CTPHTA for Pune-Bangalore.
