I bought Whirlpool semi automatic washing machine model WM super wash XL I-72S 0n 17 Sep 2011.having warranty for two years.(serial No.INB112812056) On the morning of 24/11/2012,(Saturday) it exhibited problem of water leakage. I immediately complained in customer care. Saturday’s complaint did not bring any respond to me till evening. Again I complained in the evening which was attended at four in the evening the next day. Complaint No.DL1112020919 The engineer charged Rs. 150 for the defective piece for the so called part not covered under warranty. He also advertised Whirlpool brand Name scale remover powder and managed to sell it for Rs. 320/- to me. I was surprised where the scale comes from when, where we reside is supplied soft water. Any way, we bought it and spent Rs. 470/-. After he left, I wanted to use it and to my surprise I found the water selector knob defective, I stopped using the washing machine. I contacted the Consumer forum. In accordance to their advice I mailed an E-mail, but till date no reply from you. I then contacted the customer care twice but in vain. After posting an urgent complaint , some engineer came just to see what was the problem, without rectifying he went away. Some Charu madam Whirlpool office called me but no positive reply. On 01/12/12, I found that the drain leakage problem started once again (I was not using the machine since 24/11/2012). Again lodging a complaint brought one engineer who tried to rectify the problem but in vain. after his departure same problem started once again. Then we demanded free of cost repair or replacement of the machine as a defective piece. We both husband wife are working and have a small school going kid. This washing machine problem has left us crippled in washing our clothes .we are bound to purchase a new washing machine. Now we request the forum to compensate us monetary for the cost of washing machine along with all monetary expenses in filing the case and the heavy inconveninence which we suffered owing to this since whirlpool india is not responding to the problem one month pass. This grievance of mine has been already registered at consumer forum as well. No. being 418065.
