Sub:- Non-receipt of Passport & Closure of File for no reasons for self & wife. I like to state that I submitted Passport application for myself ( Asok Nath Chattopadhyay ) vide file no- W 523817 dated-01/10/2011 and for my wife Nilima Chatterjee vide file no- W 524755 dated- 22/11/2011 along with Rs 1000/= draft for each application. Both the applications were sent through GPO-Kolkata. Police verification for both of us was completed by March-2012 in Security Control Office- A.J.C Bose Road, Kolkata. Tracking through Passport site till July-2012 was showing that the Passports will be dispatched shortly. Suddenly in August-2012, passport tracking advised to contact PRO of passport office. When contacted Regional Passport Office- Kolkata on 27/08/2012, they gave unsigned computer generated letter informing that the application files of both of us have been closed. No specific reason for the closure has been given.Please take n/a
