Consumer Redressal

Dear Sir / Madam, Complaint regarding penalty charges debited without intimation. I have saving account with Ratnakar Bank, Nerul branch since 13.06.2007. I have not done any transaction between October 2011 to October 2013 due to i was oustationed for official assignment. When i went to bank in October 2013 to update my passbook, i was shocked to see penalty charges was deducted from account. After complainting about this to branch manager, only Rs.842 have been reversed but still Rs.4178 are pending. Actually , I was not aware about this new notification of your bank (min. balance of Rs.5000/-) also it was not communicated to me through neither SMS nor any intimation letter from bank side. Due to such type of unfaire & non acceptable action of bank, i have submitted a/c closure request on 14.12.2013 but till date i have not recd. balance dues. I humbly request you to look into the matter & reverse panelty charges Rs.4178/- along with dues or issue seperate cheque for the same. Pl advice me for obtaining reversal of penlaty charges.
