Today on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, I went to buy some sweets from "Krishna Kanhaiya Sweets, Dariyapur Tiraha, Sultanpur". I asked for 500 grams of a particular sweet. The seller included the weight of the box as well while weighing the sweets. When I objected, he said it happens at every other sweet shop, the weight of the box is included everywhere. I made him weigh an empty box and it weighed 106 grams. This means that at the price of 500 grams of sweets, I got only 400 grams since 100 grams was that of the box.
This is my request to the concerned authority to look into the issue and take appropriate steps to curb this unfair practice towards the consumers.
