Consumer Redressal

Dear Sir, I am writting this mail w.r.t. my international air ticket booking reference number: NN2813055101972 dated 16th April 2021 for Air India Express flight no.: IX-246 from Dubai (UAE) to Mumbai (India) travel date 9th July 2021. My complaint is against AirIndiaExpress & MakeMyTrip.com. I don't understand why I am only getting refund of INR 8,607/- (instead on INR 20,203/- paid against the aforesaid booking) & when the flight was cancelled / non operational by the airline since 16th May 2021 but due to extension of ban period (and travel restrcitions between UAE & India) and to my dismay no any notification was given by the airline or MMT team to us untill 6th July 2021, it is when I decided to check the flight status for IX-246 showing non-operational since 16th May 2021, thus I only raised the cancellation request on 7th July 2021 inorder to get my funds back, which should have been processed by airline / MMT long back owing to flight non-operational (where the flight cancellation / non operational was from airlines due to Covid-19 restrictions, International Travel Ban between India & UAE, and / or other varied reasons concerning the airlines & not by us). As per DGCA circular to refund 100% booking amount for non-operational & cancelled flights by airlines. As per my knowdelge (even confirmed with the concerned airline as well as Dubai International Airport Authorities), my flight IX-246 (PNR / E-ticket no.: UUIWDR) was non-operational since 16th May 2021 i.e. already cancelled by the airline (no flight of IX-246 has been flying on the route of Dubai to Mumbai since 16th May 2021 onwards till date confirmed by Air India Express when enquired by me), then why would there be any reduction or deduction from the booking amount paid by me on 16th April 2021 i.e. INR 20,203 (against Booking ID: NN2813055101972).? I should be entitle to full refund of INR 20,203/- against the cancellation of flight by the airline. Thus, I sincerely look forward for your kind revert & expecting (hereby requesting your good-self) full refund of INR 20,203/- to my SBI credit card a/c ending with 4241 (source from where the payment was made on 16th April 2021) at the earliest.
