Sub: Withheld of annual exam results due to non-payment of Miscellaneous Fee of Rs: 4000/ by Divine Providence School (PSDP) Sir/Madam, This is to bring to your notice that the school management have withheld my daughter's results of 1std , annual exam due to non-payment of miscellaneous fee . We have paid the complete tuition of 35,000 for the academic year . We refused to pay the additional miscellaneous fee of Rs: 4000/ since the curriculum was completely online due to Covid 19 emergency and govt had insisted all the schools in Bangalore not to charge any additional / miscellaneous fee / and this school was so adamant and pertinent to charge Rs: 4000/ towards misc fee. The school management compelled all the parents to make the payment . There was no transparency in the amount and also the charges was for the following : The below breakup information was from Regina, (Accounts /Office staff ), Divine Providence School. a) Smart board rent charges (School management never used smart board since the curriculum was completely online) b) Lab and Laboratory fee (My daughter is studying in 1std , only they have computer lab activity, they have not even touched the subject . This is truly absurd and simply looting the parents. curriculum was completely online, never used any of these facilities ) c) SMS and website charges. (parents had spent money for WIFI and internet printer expenses ) curriculum was completely online; there was no expense for the school.) d) Exam charges (all the exams were conducted online and school did not spend a single penny for printing question papers as the exams were conducted completely online.) e) General Maintenance (Not sure whether for what this fee for , no transparency) School management refused to publish the results of my daughter Vydehi P Menon due to non-payment of above mentioned (Miscellaneous Fee of Rs: 4000/) They have withheld my daughter's results in spite of prompt payment of tuition fees of Rs: 35,000/. We humbly request you to take stringent disciplinary action against the atrocious, money minded school management not to harass the parents like this for extra fees at this Covid 19 emergency situation .
