Dear Sir/Madam,
On 16th May, 2020 I & my wife were scheduled to fly with Spice Jet from Mumbai to Varanasi via Delhi and return back on 22nd May, 2020. This concerned flight was SG-8477. This flight was cancelled by your airline due to the corona virus.
Credit Voucher
In the event of a flight cancellation due to the corona virus, I was offered a Credit Voucher of Rs. 14,931 and when I try to book tickets for only myself in the month of December, 2020, the system did not allow the booking for me as in given terms & conditions it is clearly mentioned that “Names of all the travelers in the new booking should be exactly the same as the previous booking for which the credit voucher was created.†But still I was not able to book a flight for myself.
Right to refund of ticket price
As per the Supreme Court & DGCA Guidelines dated 8th Oct, 2020, it is clearly mentioned that those who booked tickets prior to March 25 but the travel period was till May 24, will be allowed get refund within 15 days or Credit Shell equal to fare collected but at the same time airlines tried to puts more terms and conditions that the tickets has to be for the same passengers, which is nowhere mentioned in the guidelines provided by the supreme authority. This is Contempt of Court and DGCA. On top of that when i actually tried to book the tickets for myself which i am allowed to do as per the airlines mentioned guideline the system did not allow to do so. I request you to kindly refund my full amount (Rs 14,931)
Refund request

Account No. 20097116718
Bank Name- Bank of Maharashtra
IFSC Code- MAHB0000090

If my request does not result in payment of the above-mentioned compensation amount, I will submit my complaint to the relevant supervisory authority and will take legal action if necessary.
With kind regards,
Chandrabhan R Singh
