My daughter Mrs. Paramita De and son-in-law Mr. Gaurav Das purchased tickets for Kolkata to Bagdogra Spicejet flight (SG3321) for 27.02.2021 from M/s. Makemytrip. However they were denied boarding even after procuring boarding pass for the same flight. In fact, they were waiting at the departure gate but no announcement was made for boarding, even there was no display for the flight that was supposed to take off at 6.20 a.m. At 6 a.m. when they approached the staff of Spicejet, the airlines staff refused to allow them journey under the plea that flight doors were closed and the flight was full. How could they refuse boarding to passengers having boarding passes? As a result my daughter and son-in-law had to purchase tickets for an evening flight at a high rate as they had pre-scheduled programme to tour Sikkim.
My contention is that the Spicejet authority must apologize for their mistake and compensate for the loss sustained due to their amateurish attitude and gross violation of passengers' rights.
Flight No. SG3321 dated 27.02.2021 from CCU to IXB at 6.20 a.m.
