I have purchased flight tickets (AIR INDIA) for both to and fro journey from Kolkata to Imphal via Akbar Travels (Travel Agent) website http://www.akbartravels.com by using my login id on 04.12.2019 for the journey dated 01.05.2020 and 06.05.2020 respectively. The tickets have the Reference No as Ref AT191068591 given by Akbar Travels with Akbar Travels PNR NO HM0ZF & PNR No Y1XE9 for both onward and return journey respectively. Ticket no issued by AIR INDIA are 0983389618213 to 0983389618220. the cost of the tickets is Rs13,858/- only of which onward journey is Rs8123 and return journey is Rs5735. I have approached both the Airline and the travel agent numerous times but all my persuasions failed to produce any result. 1. I have mailed AIR INDIA on 18.04.2020 for the first time to refund me by stating that "As all flights are now cancelled for lockdown in India and as decided by the civil aviation ministry and corresponding airlines please refund me the Booking amount immediately." But AIRINDIA asked to contact the travel agent 2. Further I have contacted Travel agent Akbar Travels and AIR INDIA but they are only allowing one change of date for the said tickets. But I am willing to get refund of the tickets. They have referred the same pointing out that Under circular issued as F.No. AV-29011/27/2020-DT 16.04.2020 by Ministry of Civil Aviation, DT Section in clause 3(i) it states that, "If a passenger has booked a ticket during the first lockdown period (from 25th of March to 14th of April, 2020) and the airline has received payment for booking of the air ticket during the first lockdown period for travel during the same period, for both domestic and international air travel and refund is sought by the passenger against that booking being cancelled, the Airline shall refund the full amount collected without levy of cancellation charge. The refund shall be made within a period of three weeks from the date of request of cancellation." 3. Hence the issue lingers again and again. I have tried live chat with AIR INDIA on 03.06.2020 and I have requested the AIRINDIA over live chat to cancel my tickets and refund to me on 03.06.2020 and they have initiated the refund process. the reference no given for such process is 02794768. But after a considerable period AIR INDIA stated that since the tickets were through travel agent I need to contact them and Travel agent reported that they can only refund in case Airline asked them and send refund. Please look into the matter for refunding the same amount to the tune of Rs 13858 to my Bank A/c by instructing the Airline (AIR India) and the Travel agent (Akbar Travels )
