Respected Sir / Madam,Â
We had booked our students group tickets with Spicejet & Indigo airlines from 08 March, 2020 by flight no. SG 497 departing Mumbai & return on 11 March from Bangalore for 19 students and 3 teachers. The PNR of the tickets are as follows: K7IEMV & L5EB2L of Spicejet & VHSUVC + RP7F2U + VDUC2L of Indigo.
Keeping in mind the safety of the kids due to the recent outbreak of Corona virus all over the country, the parents were worried and apprehensive of sending their children out of Mumbai in this pandemic situation. Hence, the school had decided to postpone the tour to a later date. We had sent a request to the airlines atleast 3 days before the departure to please refund the total amount paid OR to adjust the amount at a later date for which the airline can issue a credit note to us. As this is something beyond anyone's control, it is very difficult for us or the parents to bear any cancellation charges.
Â
The airline is saying all their flights are operational and they cannot do anything about this. They expect the students to travel taking the risk of them being infected.Â
The groups being of school students and their safety being of paramount importance we need to understand the anxiety of the parents & take suitable decisions accordingly. Many of the other schools and educational institutes have postponed their one day trips as well as short tours due to this problem. As you may be aware schools & colleges in many parts of India have been shut down for a month.
We request you to help us out on the above matter.Â
Thank you
