Dear Sir/Madam My Housing society in Mumbai did not pay the Municipal taxes due in the year 2006 There was no mention of this in the balance sheets for 2006-07 and subsequent years The Mumbai Municipal corporation was rewarding all SSC (Xth) pass students who have secured 90% marks, provided the society where they stay has paid and cleared all taxes till date of application My son passed out in 2009 June and when we applied in 2010, we were asked to submit the receipts for 2006. My society refused to cooperate and handover the documents. Even though i had been paying my dues on time, my son was deprived of scholarship amount of Rs 10000 because of negligence and wrong accounting in my society Please let me know whether i can recover the lost amount and what is the procedure and time period for same Regards Upendra
