Consumer Redressal

I had purchased a pair of reading glasses (spectacles) from GEE ESS OPTICALS, SCO No. 100,Sector 35-C Chandigarh on 18 Aug 2012. H. It is pertinent to mention here that at the time of purchase no bill was provided to me. At the time of purchase itself the right arm of the spectacle frame was not opening completely as it was too tight, and this concern was clearly voiced by me, however the salesman assured me that in due course of time with usage it would become alright and that if it was already loose than with time it would become too loose to wear. Also the shop-owner assured me that it was a light and sturdy frame and even he was using a similar one since more than 2 years and if there was any problem they were there to rectify it. Unfortunately, my concerns came true and on the very next day 19 Aug 2012, the right arm of frame broke. However, the shop has refused to replace it. I have also sent them a NOTICE which they have failed to reply thus far. KINDLY HELP
