Consumer Redressal

This is regarding the Home Loan that I availed from SBI. I selected one of the projects approved by SBI and got a loan of 18L sanctioned from SBI. The complete loan amount was disbursed to the builder. The project was delayed by more than a year. And during the time of hand over, the builder had sold the flat to another person. The builder accepted his fault and agreed to repay the complete amount to the bank along with the interest. However, after paying the major part of the principal amount, he went absconding. Now, the bank is building up interest in my name and this is also reflecting in my CIBIL account. Because of this I am not being able to avail a credit card, forget getting a loan to buy anything – vehicle, appliance, property. Now, with no property in hand, I am being asked to pay up the outstanding amount of > 5L, increasing every month. I have already approached the concerned officers in SBI officials without any success. Can you please suggest steps to resolve this.
