Complaint #1555 — Manish Ratra

Filed: 22 Jun 2013  ·  Address: H.no-520, Jawahar Colony , NIT, Faridabad
Hello I took a policy HDFC ergo with the help of my credit card which was supposed to expire on 18th of May 2013. But HDFC debited my credit card with the insurance premium on 9th of May 2013 without my explicit permission. As I wanted to discontinue the policy, I HAVE CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER redressal department of HDFC numerous time by different means of communication which includes mails as well as telephonic conversations with the customer support executives. So seeing no other option I requested a renewal of my same policy with inclusion of my new born son in the plan. I was assured by the executives that the old policy will be automatically cancelled, but after that call I now have two policies and the EMI\'s are being deducted for both the policies. I have no other option left apart from paying both the EMI\'s as I don\'t want to spoil my credit status. I have copies of mails in which I was assured of the refund but I haven\'t received any confirmation from HDFC till date.
