Sir,My client Messrs Ragini Merchants Pvt Ltd., of 25, Waterloo Street, Kolkata-700069 maintains a current account with IDBI Bank,Brabourne Road Kolkata being account # 0060102000119559 for last decade .On 24th July 2015 my clients representative approached bank official for remitting an amount of Rs.5589301/- towards online payment of stamp Duty and Registration Fees payable on Execution of Conveyance deed for purchase of a office space in terms of e challan bearing GRN No. 19-201516-00124762-2 dated 24.07.2015 generated through the Directorate Of Registration & Stamp Revenue ,Govt. Of west Bengal.Surprising and shockingly as wellthe bank official declined to entertain the request as the amount is over Rs.5.0 lacs without specifying any valid documentary proof for their ianbility.Bening no laternate in view of scheduled date fixed for registration of Dopcuments,my client approached ICICI Bank knowing well that they dont maintain any account wiyth them ,as per RBI Guidance it was done
