Sub. Fraudulent transaction on my credit card.Issued by Corporation Bank.
Dear Sir,
On 9th march 2015 evening 5.13 PM I received an SMS on my cell stating that a transaction of Rupees 76,980.00 was done at Khandewal Jewellers at Nagpur. I stay in Mumbai and the card was very much with me at that time. Imeediately I contacted the helpline and advised to block the card and subsequently next day morning I submitted a written complaint to the Bank.Then we approached the police station to file an FIR but Police flatly refused and said that it is a credit card fraud and bank is responsible. Abain with a letter from Bank we approached for filing the FIR again police refused and simply acknowledged the letter from bank by putting a stamp on the letter and returning to us.
What are option available with us to mitigate this issue. We at no time done any illegal transaction. Kindly advise correct procedure to be followed
