Complaints of Tours and Travels

This is with regard to my Tour to Kailash Mansarover Yatra dated 18 July, 2010. The file no is 2010DOM1154836 and Invoice no is. 1002953.
 
Kindly note the tour experience was really horrible. The tour itenery and facilities were not as mentioned in the Brochure. The tour was just sub contracted to a local C grade tour operator. The role of Cox and Kings was just of a Travel Agent who accepts tour bookings for a small commission.
 
The lodging facilities offered were pathetic and horrible. The sight seeing as mentioned in the Brochure were not completed. I am aware that the facilities in this tour are basic but the places where there were good facilities we were provided C grade facilities. I am 69 yrs and was travelling with my wife aged 61 years and this was the most pathetic travel experience we ever had. The agency to whom this tour was outsourced gave preferential treatment to all their direct members even though the cost paid by them was 50% of the charges charged by you.
 
I had used your Company travel services for travelling to Kashmir and also to Egypt and had a very good experience. The latest experience was really pathetic as the Company had just acted as a Travel agent instead of providing end to end Tour management.
 
The Company has cheated me by making false commitments and have not fulfilled them.
 
Kindly look into the details and try to keep up the reputation of a world renound Travel management company and not just a Travel agent.

Dear Sir/Madam,

 

I would like to bring this to your kind notice that I was cheated by Cox and Kings which is a very reputed company in Tours & Travels market. There was a Franchaisee exebition in Jaipur where I met the representatives of Cox and Kings, namely Ms. Karuna Vazirani and Mr.Bhupesh Nayak, for getting a Franchaisee of Cox and Kings. They told us that we need to fill an application form with a Refundable security deposit of Rs.11,000/-. After receiving all the applications, they will scrutinize among the applications on the basis of their sutaibility and then finalize the Franchaisee and refund the security deposit of all applicants. The application fee was kept to come across genuine applicants which would help them in scrutinizing. 

 

They asked us to pay the security deposit as soon as possible as it was the time for exhibition to get over and we didn't have much time to think about it. We thought that its better to give an application and pay the security deposit as we will get it back and were paying to a very reputed company " COX & KINGS ". We paid the application fghiyaee by cheque but after receiving the security deposit from us they changed completey from whatever they said. They denied returning the security deposit saying that it was a non- refundable fee and all these allegations were baseless. We have heard that this has happened with all other applicants also. I think they (Mr. Bhupesh and Ms.Karuna) did this to achieve their Revenue targets or to tell the company that they did their job well at the exhibition.

 

Mr. Bhupesh Nayak visited our sites and then, didn't respond for two months. They replied back after two months when we asked them to pay back our security deposit on call. They told us that we were making baseless allegations and it was a non-refundable fee. It is my hard earned money which I lost by keeping faith in such a good company. Since then I have lost faith in all good companies also.

 

It will really great if you can look into this matter and raise it to the concerned authorities to get my security deposit back.

This complaint is registered in regard to the deficiency of services provided on both the to and fro journeys undertaken by me and my family on the Second AC Coach A1 of the Prashanti Express (Train Nos. 18463 and 18464) on the following dates of journeys:

From Bangalore Central to Vishakapatnam on 16th April 2011 Saturday (Train no. 18464) : and
From Vishakapatnam to Bangalore Central on 29th April 2011 Friday (Train no. 18463).

Our Berth numbers during both journeys were: 3,4, 5, 6 and 3,4,5,6, 7,8.
The reason for lodging this complaint through the Consumer Redressal Forum is to ensure that the East Coast Railway Division and the IRCTC organisations don't continue to loot innocent Indian travellers like us and to pray to the concerned authorities, that the guilty personnel are punished and we innocent citizens as consumers of the services are adequately compensated.

The nature of issues that have traumatized me and my family which are the primary cause for lodging this complaint are as follows:
1. In Coach A1 of Prashanti Express the entire coach was filled with Cockroaches and as a result my 8 year old daughter and her mother could not sleep throughout the night of 16th April 2011 (date of journey). The insects were all over us, which literally scared my daughter, resulting in her running a fever by the next morning. Being new to Vishakapatnam, I had little knowledge of the local medical help and facilities, causing the suffering to extend over 2 days.

2. The TTE who boarded the train / coach A1 on 16th April 2011, was completely insensitive to our needs and requests, this speaks poorly of the person as well as E.Co. Railway's training to their empl

             My BP CODE IS BP 00051483 and registered name is DEEP VYAS..I had cancelled a bus ticket on 28th.i have not received my refund yet.Since the refund has taken a month i would want OSS to refund the amount with annualized interest of 23%.I have lodged my complaint more than 10 times with customer service representatives but of no avail.

 

I would intiate some other actions against OSS if i dont receive my refund with interest.I have been troubled and harassed over this re-imbursement since the day of cancellation.

I have attached copy of the bus ticket sold to customer & the Bank account statement.

 

I repent my decision to associate myself with OSS and have been spreading the same word around.

 

Awaiting a quick action to avoid legal options.

Sub: Cheating by Bhola Travels,opp rly stn,Ajmer as stated above under ticket No 198 as on 27/06/2010 for coach no 2061--Ajmer to Ahmedabad-coach of goyal travels(gujarat travels)--refused to provide one slipper and resultive suffering and loss..moreover wrong excessive price recovered.

The above travels had done cheating with us by not providing one sliper and also recovered Rs 1600 as ticket fees for 2 seats from Ajmer to Ahmedabad while they had ticket price from jaipur to Ahmedabad –only Rs 750 per tkt…Thus they have cheated us and given us lot of suffering, harm etc

Pl arrange justice and comp. of suffering and tkt charges…Also arrange suspension of his license so that other travelers can be saved

Dear Sir,
I had sent a query regarding the package for Malaysia to Hi-tours on 08 Apr’10 for travel dates from June 8th to 15th. I was given the package of 26799/- per pax (inclusive of airfare). I immediately confirmed as it suited my budget. The intention of booking so early was to get good deal and I was assured of it. I paid the amount as asked by tour operator. I was told that flight bookings would be subject to change but the rates of room would be the same. The bookings were delayed on the tour operator’s part and we were asked to pay more. Even for the rooms we were asked to pay more. In the itenary the transfer to Genting was included but we were charged for that as they couldn’t provide stay in Genting. We were told that they shall provide the transfer on both days as they were unable to give us accommodation in Genting. The Manager suggested us to take one day Genting (which upon arrival we realized that was half day tour)and another day Sunway Lagoon saying that it was very well made etc. But it just turned out to be a children park and there was nothing for the adults. Infact they added the cost of that in our package. More so,to our surprise when we reached to Kuala Lumpur we were told that the rooms were full and we had to take lower category. How can the operator be so irresponsible. The rooms were pathetic and with no ac working. In the middle of night around 3 we were struggling to get ourselves a better room. Our trip became a nightmare.
Innumerable times we questioned the operator on why do we need to pay the revised package (around 34125/- per pax, i.e diff of around 7k per person) since we had made payments on time and delay was on operator’s part and also when we were assured that the rates of package exc
