Dear Sir/ Ma'am,
On 12th Feb i placed the order for 2 gift item to be delivered to a friend in Hyderabad on www.dealsandyou.com ( order number 410876 and 410873). The payment was duly debited from my account and i received the order confirmation as well. Out of the two items, one got delivered on 16th feb but the other never got delivered. On calling the customer care i was told the order got cancelled as they never received the payment. this claim was quiet arbitrary as in online websites, the transaction gets confirmed only when the payment is debited. secondly, i fail to understand how come they received the payment for one and not the other when i paid as a consolidated amount.
After this, they asked me to send me the snapshot of my bank account to confirm the amount debited. I have sent the snapshot thrice, twice in a word file, but the customer care every time told me that they are not able to find the attachment. I have checked the attachment by sending it to myself as well as sending it through different email id , but every time same response. In the end, i have concluded that they are just harassing me. Though the amount is not big, but i would like to inculcate some ethics in them. So kindly help me with this issue.

The order was booked wrongly for wrong product and I had asked for the cancellation on the day of booking of the product as I have booked the correct product on the same day vide order no. 910084123 and the executive from Home Shop 18 had asked me not to accept the consignment so that the same will be returned back to them and after that the money will be refunded and on the basis of assurance I had booked the other product. Now I had asked my father not to accept the wrong product and after that the product had been returned through Aramex Corier vide consignment no. 4200955220 on 28/02/2012 and as I have tracked the same their your website and also having the consignment copy which is stamped & signed by Spice Retail who seems to be the shipping agent of Home Shop 18 and the product was delivered with Home Shop 18 on 03/03/2012. but whenever I had spoke to the Home Shop 18 over customer care no. they had denied receiving the product. I had spoked several persons like Vishal, Aparna, Soma etc in the customer care team and nobody is bothered to refund my money i.e. Rs.3919/- and they had asked me to provide the proof of the product returned back to them for which I had sent the consignment copy to their mail ID as well.

Now they are playing around with me for refund of the money and since the booking of the product I am following up with them for the refund. Attaching the order copy, Consignment Return copy duly stamped by vendor for your kid pe

Dear Sir/Madam,

This has a reference to the trailing communication and my complaint regarding the dispute with online retailer (Indiatimes Shopping) for delivery of product variant to the quality and specifications as mentioned in the print advertisement.

Having lodged my protest with them, and given their reluctance and manipulative behaviour to either make good the losses or refund the amount thereto, I approached the Department of Consumer Affairs as per the trailing details. Since then, I have not heard from any of the concerned.

I am attaching herewith the entire list of communication and supporting documentary evidence provided in this regard.

This is for your immediate intervention and action please.

Dear Sir,

My booking ID in Make My trip for my Bangalore trip is NP251993301992. You may also refer the trailing mail from you.

Please note:

1) I reached Hotel Nandhini, Minerva Circle,Bangalore at around 12 O' clock in the night on 16/03/2011. I was then alloted Room No. 104. Since the water tap of the room was not working I was shifted to Room No. 101 next day early morning.

2)  My booking was till 27/03/2011. Accidentally, on 25/03/201, I came to know from one of the service boys that the room  No. 101 and even room No. 104 are of Deluxe AC category, whereas I booked for Comfort Class AC which is about Rs. 600/- per day higher than the Deluxe AC room rate. When I brought this to the notice of the Hotel Manager in the morning on 26/03/2011, he relpied that if I want I can shift to Comfort Class AC room now. Then, I told him that since I am checking out at 4 A.M. on 27/03/2011 to catch my flight, there is no point shifting my room now to Comfort Class AC room, instead you may refund me the excess amount which I have paid for Comfort Class AC room. He replied that it is not possible now.

3) While checking out at 4 A.M. on 27/03/2011, I asked for a copy of the receipt of the hotel bill so that I get a document to take up the matter with you afterwards. They said that they can not give me any receipt, since I booked through Make My trip. Had it be a cash payment they would have issued me a bill. Then, I tried to contact you over phone for quite some time but I could not. Since I was getting late, I left the hotel then.

4) Since I was alloted a Deluxe AC room though I paid you for   a Comfort Class AC room that too without informing me, I request   you to refund me the excess amount I paid you for Comfort Class AC room for the entire period of my stay in the hotel at the earliest possible. Else, I will be with no option but to approch  Consumer Redressal  Forum legally, though I am sending a copy of the mail to Consumer Redressal  Forum .

To Whosoever It May Concern / Charmaine,

Order No --- 759-486-981700

Just a month ago, I ordered a Jawbone Bluetooth Icon(Hero) headset from 20North. While buying, I carefully checked whether I am buying a brand new headset and not a used one. After some days, I received the Bluetooth, but surprisingly, it came in another local box packaging which was shocking. However, I ignored the packaging as the product inside looked genuine and thus started using it.I also mentioned the packaging to Charmaine

There is a peculiar feature in this bluetooth headset that when it is connected to a computer via USB, it shows with which customer it has been paired till date. When I connected my Bluetooth to my computer, it showed me name of two users; one was my name and the other previous was Dr.Jonathan Stoudmire(probably an American). And thus, it gave me all the answers I was searching for; that this Bluetooth is not brand new. It is a used Bluetooth sold to me at a brand new price.

I really don't regret saying this that 20North is a sham. I have been a victim of another incident before this with 20North and I had returned that product. Charmaine of 20North knows the previous case(Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax).

However, I regret to inform you that I will be addressing the same in the Consumer Court and other redressal forums and a Legal Notice would be sent to 20North soon. I want to know what can be done about the current situation.

Dear Sir,

Please find below the trail of mails which clearly states that I have been cheated by Naaptol which is an online shopping company. I have written numerous mails and has called their customer care plenty of times and still there is no solution in either replacement of the item or refunding my money. I am sure like me there are many consumers who might have been cheated by this company. Now that I have waited for 5 months and cannot continue waiting I request your good self to kindly take appropriate action and penalise these people so that they can stop cheating the general public. I would like to claim all damages for the mental agony and damages caused by this company to me. Please also publish in all daily newspaper the cheating of this company so that they can stop their advertisement.

Also I am attaching all the mails sent to them and received from them.

Dear Team,

I am facing issues with the settlement of my advance payment with Club Mahindra.  The fact is as follows –

1.        We opted for the Club Mahindra membership in Oct 2009.

2.       On the spot we paid 10% advance o approx.  Rs 34000

3.       We were allocated free travel voucher which   never worked.

4.       After reporting to Mahindra holidays We  were allocated another set of voucher which again never worked.

5.       Since the above travel voucher never worked we  did not pay the EMI.

6.       I interacted with Mahindra holidays  to refund my money which they are reluctant to do

7.       Now they are willing to give another set of travel voucher  but with revised travel package which is not acceptable to me

8.       I need  the following

a.       Continue  with the travel package at the same cost of Rs 3.4 lakhs with same EMI plus the free  travel  voucher

b.      Or refund of my 10% advance payment worth Rs 34000.00

Kindly let us know the  steps to be taken from my end in order to resolve the issue at earliest.

Sir / Madam,

I happened to book a flight ticket through Yatra.com from Mumbai to Cochin and Cochin to Mumbai on Air India Flight. I used the Mumbai to Cochin flight Air India flight AI 690 on 23-Dec-2010. The retrun flight was on 02-Jan-2011 departing Cochin at 7:55 PM. But this flight was cancelled. So I had to cancel the flight ticket and rebook a flight on yatra.com for 02-Jan-2011.
Once I reached Mumbai I raised a request for refund to Yatra.com (Five Thousand One Hundred and Ninety Nine Ruppees six paise -Rs 5199.06/-). I was instructed to obtain a proof that the PNR was cancelled from Air India office and send a hard copy of the same to Yatra.com office in Gurgaon. After sending the same it was mentioned to me that the refund shall be processed in three working days.
But since I have not received the refund as of date (15-Feb-2011) I called up Yatra.com call center and requested for the refund. I was surprised to hear from them that they have not started processing the refund and they are asking me to submit an endorsed copy of the ticket for the refund.

Sir I happen to return back to Gurgaon and it becomes impossible for me to get this ticket now. May I request your assistance in getting my grievance redressed.

Sir I have a copy of the email correspondence that I have had with Yatra.com which could be submitted upon request.

On 25th May, we sent another email stating if we dont get the refund, I would be taking stay order for the rescheduled concert. On this email, we got a prompt response and also a cancellation note stating my tickets were not confirmed and the amount would be refunded to us. Till date, we have not got the refund. Though, we have followed many times with Livetree contact person (Kiran) and also with the Bank. Kiran says they have done what is required from their end, while our bank (SBI) says they have not got any credit note. Now, we hear that Livetree organization has been shutdown and neither website nor the official contact numbers are working. We are not sure how to get my 3000 Rs. amount back. Please advise. There are many more consumers like us who are in the same situation (ie., inspite of cancellation, not got the refund).

The official partners for Jagjit Singh concert were Radio City, Mast Kalandar etc.

Please advise on how to proceed on this matter further, so that we can get our booking amount refunded.

Dear Sir

I am residing now at the Angul district of the state of Orissa.I purchased one reebok playdry tshirt from indiatodaybookclub which is a part of indiatoday group under special offer scheme on 24th July 2010.This purchase was done over net through e-commerce route.
This said organization is situated at
B-47, Indira Enclave, Neb Sarai, New Delhi - 110068 (India) Phone: 011-40502424 which is come under the jurisdiction of southwest Delhi consumer dispute redressal  forum. The cost of the product under special offer scheme was Rs.399 and money transaction was done through SBI net banking gateway on 24th July

But this said organization didn't send the product to the shipping address of the order in Kolkata of the state Westbengal which is my home district till date. In spite of several request and persuasion over email they didn't send the  product.

I properly preserved all the relevant online transaction data and can reproduce it in physical form if necessary

It is not possible and viable for me to go all the way to Delhi and lodge complain against the said organization in person . Can I lodge a consumer redressal complain against the said organization with all the relevant documents and proscribed fee by postal means?

I'll be thankful if you please let me know the procedure to lodge complaint against the organization which is suitable for me.

                                                          Thanking you ,in anticipation

                                                                                                               yours faithfully

I have ordered one camera "Nikon Coolpix L-100" vide Order No 201006141441067 and Order No 112405175 to Indiatimes Shopping dated 18th June. The product was advertised in the 'Times of India'and as advised, I dispatched a cheque of INR 8690/- in favour of Indiatimes Shopping.

However, they failed to commit their offer and resorted to 'unfair trade practice'.

This is chronology of my ordeal:

1st July- Dispatch the cheque
5th July- Encasement of my cheque INR 8690/-
In the subsequent weeks, when I contacted Customer care Executive told me that the camera will be delivered on 15th July
Again on being contacted, I was told by customer care on 15th July that camera will be delivered by 19th July
On 19th July, I was told that the order is cancelled and money will be refunded within 5 or 6 working days
In the mail dated 24th July, I was informed that money will be refunded by 5-7 days.
Even after lapse of more 7 days, I am yet to receive any DD

 Hi,

Ref: Ticket no.: EK/ETKT 176 7864142012, Yatra booking reference no. O33WI7Z

My name is Sorabh Garg and I am in a very unfortunate situation, where the travel agent and the airlines has been playing unfair with me.

I had booked return tickets from JFK, New York to Mumbai dated 12th May 2010, return of 3rd July, 2010 from Yatra.com on an Emirates flight, I told the lady from Yatra on the phone that I am not sure of my return date and I might return in September, she told me that in that case I would just have to reschedule the tickets from 3rd July to any date in September for $150 and $300 in case I need to cancel it, I agreed to that.

When I come to Mumbai and want to extend my tickets to September 6th, they disregard what they had promised me and asked me to talk to Emirates.
I talked to Emirates and they say that my ticket cannot be extended as it comes under special low fares whose validity is 2 months only, I told them that I was told by my booking agent Yatra.com that I could extend my return dates for $150 and cancel for $300. They told me that they can't help me and I need to talk to Yatra.com directly for that since they made those claims.
I approached Yatra again and they told me that they can't extend the dates too.
Yatra.com hadn't notified me that the ticket was valid for 2 months only, they should have done so while selling me the tickets so that I could have made a better decision, now they are not honouring their word.
I told them it is very unprofessional to go back on their words and they should atleast cancel the tickets if not extend for the fee of $300, but they denied cancelling it too.
I talked to Emirates again and they told  me extension was not possible and they can cancel it but I won't get a single penny for cancellation (doesn't make any sense!)
Yatra then made me an offer of extending the tickets to September 2nd for $746, which includes $400 for extension and $346 flight charges difference.
They are now going back on their own words from not being able to extend tickets to extending it for $400 instead for the said $150 before.

I am distraught by their behavior and would like you to advise me and take appropriate action against them.

Please reply back to me.

I had booked an E-Ticket to travel from Warangal to Chennai on 30.12.2008, by 2622 Tamilnadu Express in the First AC Class. My E-ticket PNR No is 2355341506. When I arrived at the station, I found that the train was running late by more than 10 Hours.
As I could not afford this delay, I made alternative arrangements for my travel & cancelled this particular journey plan. As the train was running late by more than 3 hours, I WAS eligible for the full fare refund (Amount Rs.1665/-).
As this was a E-ticket, I had to file for TDR over the net only. I duly did this at around 8AM, 31.12.2008 at the IRCT office computer, Chennai only. At that time even the Tamilnadu express had not reached Chennai & this too can be verified from railway records.
When refund was not released for more than 5 months, I followed up with IRCTC & I received a mail as follows on 15.05.2009.
“REGRETDear Customer,With Reference to your PNR No:2355341506, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : C508/E/16cases/20/23.04.09/SR In case you require any further assistance, please mail us at tdrprocess@irctc.co.in or call us on 011-23345900 With regards, TDR TEAM”.
I immediately asked for the details & why my claim was rejected. Than IRCTC replied that, my case is being reopened. Than again after lapse of 4 months time,
on 22.09.2009, I received a mail from IRCTC that my case is rejected, because I have not submitted the original TDR. Mail is reproduced below.

Naaptol.com regularly advertises products in the Newspapers[Times of India] that consumers can purchase through telephone. Recently I had ordered a 'slim fit garment' from them. Before I placed the order I had inquired if they would refund the product in case customer was not satisfied with it. They assured me that I must keep the product in good condition and return it, following which they would refund the amount. On receiving the product I found it unsatisfactory..the product does not conform to what it claims to do.Within 24 hours I called them to ask for a refund to which they point blank refused that they will not refund it, and no reason was given. They just said that 'our seniors are not willing to refund the product'. I am very upset with their attitude and I also do not want other citizens of India to be cheated in this way. Please help me to deal with these irresponsible vendors.

I'd booked the IPL match ticket online with ticketgenie, but due to some technical problem in their software payment has deducted from my credit card account. But they have not issued the ticket to me.

When contacted to their call center, for one week no one had picked up the call. On one day when I'd sent the mail to them stating that I'll take this matter into consumer court, they had called me. They told me they can't track the transaction because it is not showing in their system, I need to provide unique transaction number what I'd provided to them. But after that I'd sent them many reminder mails, I tried to call them number is ringing but no one is picking up the phone. It has passed two months now I'm trying to reach them.
